Some years ago - back in 2001 I shared a drink or 3 over a couple of hours with Oasis's Noel Gallagher in the empty first class BA lounge at the old Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok. Back then Oasis were regarded as probably the biggest band in the world so it was quite a scoop for me at the time. Nevertheless I played it cool, remembering that I'm a serious business man who doesn't get star struck...yeah right.

As I recall we chatted on the football results, the recent demise of Beatle George Harrison and discussed how it was possible to pick up the entire Beatles catalog as MP3s on a couple of CDs (and for that matter the fule Oasis recorded works) for a mere 200baht (approx £3.50 ) at an infamous Bangkok haunt for entertainment buffs and technology geeks like myself - namely Panthip Plaza. Embarrassingly I had said CDs in my briefcase and was able to demonstrate my discovery - which to my relief Noel found very amusing.
